For example, saying Internet Browser would launch a web search. From there we said the name of the app we wanted to launch. The voice control was very responsive, we simply said PlayStation to begin using voice command. When we waved, they quickly responded with one of their own. As soon as they were released from the controller, we could jostle the bots by moving our hand back and forth. We were also impressed with the way the camera visualized the tiny AR Robot avatars on the screen. When we ran the “Playroom” demo on the PS4, the camera scanned our face, panning horizontally and vertically. During “The Playroom” app, our little AR robots realistically rolled from left to right as we rolled the controller from side to side. Sony has beefed up the motion control experience in response to Xbox One’s Kinect 2. The light bar also works in conjunction with the PlayStation Camera, allowing for some motion control action. A red light signaled that we died and would have to start over. During “Killzone,” a green light meant that our health was good, but flashed orange and yellow when we took on damage. Comprised of a trio of LEDs, the bar will change color to keep players apprised of their in-game status. In “Killzone: Shadowfall,” a simple flick upward on the touchpad launched our drone.įor additional interactivity, a large light bar is positioned between the bumpers and triggers. Borrowing from the PlayStation Vita, Sony outfitted the controller with a two-touch capacitive touchpad that can be used in-game with certain titles. Once these cards are selected, you must pull these cards from your ‘physical’ deck and draw them to your hand and play the Summoning Cards on the Battle Mat, as normal.
Once paired up with your opponent, the PS3 will automatically shuffle and randomly pull your cards for you.
Then, when logged on, you select the Summoning Deck you wish to play. First, you’ll have to register and save your Summoning Deck, offline. Fortunately, THE EYE OF JUDGMENT introduces a new paradigm in drawing cards when playing against your opponents online. Mainly, “What’s going to prevent players from ‘stacking the deck’ when playing online?” – meaning, cheating your card draw so you get your best cards from the start. The most popular question we’ve heard revolves around online cheating. Each new set will consist of more powerful creatures and spells to introduce new strategies and gameplay mechanics to refresh the EOJ gaming experience. The October launch of THE EYE OF JUDGMENT and its Summoning Cards introduces the first in a long series of card sets available for play. With a global rollout, gamers on the PLAYSTATION Network will be able to battle against fellow EOJ players from around the world.
